Winners are determined by the total length of the FIVE biggest surfperch catches.
You don’t necessarily have to fish all three days, but opting to do so can significantly increase your chances of winning. Additionally, your teammate is not required to be in the same location as you!

OFFICIAL MEASURING TAPE

More Than Fishing now has an official measuring tape that will be used on ALL More Than Fishing Tournaments. If you joined in the past More Than Fishing competitions (specifically the 2023 & 2024 MTF Surf Fishing Tournament as well as the 2023 MTF Surfperch Fishing Tournament) and you received our official measuring tape (see image), you may re-use the measuring tape. ONLY the measuring tape pictured can be used at the tournament. Older versions of the measuring tape will NOT be acceptable.

When registering for an entry, if you already have the official MTF measuring tape, use the discount code “TAPE”. Video entries without the official MTF measuring tape are automatically disqualified.
