Biggest total length of THREE surf perch wins the Championship.
You don’t have to fish all 3 days of the competition. All you need is at least 3 of your largest surf perch caught to submit as entry to win!

RULES AND REGULATIONS
All participants must register online at morethanfishing.net
- Participants must obtain valid 2019 California fishing license, (15yrs old below not required). For more information: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Licensing
- Participants under 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.
- Waiver forms and or parental consent must be signed and submitted before the tournament.
- All participants must obey all state fishing regulations
- Participants may fish wherever they want as long as it is within under the current DFG regulations.
- All fish must be line-caught with the designated one (1) fishing rod and reel on a BAIT OR LURE
- All participants must watch the online orientation. Available at morethanfishing.net. Live feed October 20, 2019 at 6:00pm PST.
For those who are unable to attend: email us at morethanfishing@yahoo.com to obtain the link of the recorded orientation.
- A special link will be provided to upload your video catch and release.
- All fish MUST be filmed/video ALIVE during the catch and release with your Official MTF ID badge, measuring tape and the CURRENT FISHING CODE* visible in the video clip(s), before it can counted as an entry.
- All qualifying video clip(s) must be UPLOADED and submitted using the special upload link ON THE DAY the fish were caught and released. Any videos of fish caught the day before will be automatically disqualified. Fishing code will determine when the fish were caught.
- There will be different codes given on each day of the tournament.
- FISHING CODE* will be posted each day at morethanfishing.net.
- Fish should be measured from tip of mouth to farthest tip of fin with its mouth closed
- Maximum of THREE SURF PERCH entry for the whole entire tournament.
- There is no need to fish all three days. The top 3 largest catches will qualify as an entry to win.
- Minimum size of 12 inches to be qualified for an entry.
- Uploading video(s) will be open from 7:00am – 7:00pm. No entries will be accepted after 7pm.
- The Leader board will be posted at morethanfishing.net by the end of each day
- Winners to be determined by the total length of all THREE Surf Perch caught and will be declared the winning entries of the 2019 MTF SURF PERCH FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP.
- In case of a tie in length, the winner will be determined by the number of qualified fish entered or turned in.
- All decisions by the judges are final.
- All competitors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner. Anyone who violates the tournament rules will be automatically disqualified from this event and may be barred from participating in future More Than Fishing events
All competitors/participants fishing in 2019 MTF Surf Perch Fishing Championship agree to do so at their own risk. More Than Fishing, its owner, partners, sponsors or volunteers are in no way liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the act of fishing or traveling, walking, boating or kayaking to or from a fishing location.
By registering to the 2019 MTF Surf Perch Fishing Championship, you agree to indemnify and defend More Than Fishing, its owner and/or volunteers against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs which may, in any way, arise from your participation in the More Than Fishing Tournament.
